We are committed to being upfront about our privacy practices, including what we do with your personal information. Since everyone cares about their privacy as much, we provide controls that allow you to choose how certain information is used by us. This policy explains our privacy practices for the ASEEL Platform (which we’ll refer to as the “ASEEL”) that includes ASEEL’s mobile applications (the “Apps”) in the google or apple stores, ASEEL’s public Application Program Interface (the “API”), and our other services provided by AWAL, LLC. Or ASEEL, depending on your location (“ASEEL,” together with “we,” “us,” and “our”). We’ll refer to the Site, the Apps, and the API, and our other services as the “Services.” If you are located outside of North America, AWAL UK or Afghanistan is the data controller and is responsible for your personal information. This policy does not apply to the practices of third parties (including other members who sell using the Services or API users) who may also collect or receive data in connection with your use of the Services.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that ASEEL will use your information in the United States, United Kingdom, Afghanistan and any other country where ASEEL operates. Please be aware that the privacy laws and standards in certain countries, including the rights of authorities to access your personal information, may differ from those that apply in the country in which you reside. We will transfer personal information only to those countries to which we are permitted by law to transfer personal information, and we will take steps to ensure that your personal information continues to enjoy appropriate protections.
2. Collection of Information
For us to provide you the services, we collect/receive your information in different ways. Often, you choose what information to provide, but sometimes we require certain information in order to be able to provide you the services.
Below is an overview of the steps where we collect your information:
We need a valid email address to initiate you to use and for us to provide you our services, your name will represent you on the ASEEL platform. You may review, change, or remove that name through your account settings. You need to provide this information to enable us to provide you with the Services. Other information such as billing and payment information (including billing contact name, address, telephone number, credit card information), a telephone number, and/or a physical postal address, may be necessary in order for us to provide a particular service. Some of the information is optional to provide relating to the service that you are pertaining you will be required to provide it; for example, in order to order a product, we will need your physical address information. If we ask for you to fill up an application in regards to a service, we will clearly mention that the information is kept confidential or not; if the information is meant to be kept confidential they will not be available for public use. Throughout the ASEEL platform you will have your own profile where information such as photo, birthday, gender and location is available. All this information can be edited and removed by going to the profile option in whichever platform. Other people may see some of public information such as the date you joined; ratings you have provided, reviews, and related photos for items you purchased; your profile information; your Favorites, and information you decide to share via social networks.
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device’s internal memory.
This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.
We use data analytics to ensure site functionality and improve the Services. We use mobile analytics software to allow us to understand the functionality of the Apps on your phone. This software may record information such as how often you use the Apps, what happens within the Apps, aggregated usage, performance data, app errors and debugging information, and where the Apps were downloaded from. We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any personally identifiable information that you submit within the mobile application.
3. Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:
- To facilitate our Service;
- To provide the Service on our behalf;
- To perform Service-related services; or
- To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.
We want to inform users of this Service that these third parties have access to your Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.
We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Your account is protected by a password that we do not have access to; all other information in our servers or other locations are protected to the maximum standard generally possible. It is important that you protect against unauthorized access to your account and information by choosing your password carefully and by keeping your password and
computer secure, such as by signing out after using the Services. Aseel encrypts certain information (such as credit card numbers) using secure socket layer technology (SSL).
5. Links to Other Sites
We know that members of our community value having control over their own information, so ASEEL gives you the choice of providing, editing, or removing certain information, as well as choices about how we contact you. You may change or correct your account information through your account settings. You may also remove certain optional information that you no longer wish to be publicly visible through the Services, such as your name. You can also request the deletion of the personal information in your account.
Depending on your location, you may also have certain additional rights with respect to your information, such as: (i) data access and portability (including the right to obtain a copy of your personal data you provided to ASEEL, via your settings); (ii) data correction (including the ability to update your personal data, in many cases via settings); (iii) data deletion (including the right to have ASEEL delete your personal information, except information we are required to retain, by contacting us); and (iv) withdrawal of consent or objection to processing (including, in limited circumstances, the right to ask Aseel to stop processing your personal data, with some exceptions, by contacting us).
We may send you messages about the Services or your activity. Some of these messages are required, service-related messages for members (such as transactional messages or legal notices). You can control which optional messages you choose to receive by changing your account settings.
7. Messages from Aseel
Sometimes we may need to send your information and we may use email or push notifications depending on the device and medium that you use. You have the option of not receiving these emails by either disabling them or sending us an email to Aseel@awal.xyz. All marketing emails come with an unsubscribe link that you can use to opt-out. We may also contact you by telephone to provide member support or for transaction-related purposes if you request that we call you. Additionally, and with your consent, Aseel may send you an SMS (or similar) message in order to provide you with customer support or technical reasons. All information can be updated in your profile.
8. Information Uses and sharing
In general, we collect, use and store (“process”) your information to provide the Services, to fix and improve the Services, to develop new services, and to market our companies and their products and services. Some specific examples of how we use information are:
- Collect payment
- Communicate with you – using email, sms, push notifications – about your account or activity or to market product listings, features, or events.
- Test changes in the Services and develop new features
- Analyze use of the Services and personalize content, including ads and prices
- Fix problems you may have with the Services or a particular purchase, including answering support questions and resolving disputes
- Prevent, detect, investigate and respond to fraud, unauthorized access/use of the Services, breaches of terms and policies, or other wrongful behavior
- Comply with any procedures, laws, and regulations which apply to us, including those that set retention periods
For purposes of European data protection law, we normally process personal data where:
- we need to perform the contract we are about to enter into or have entered into with you, such as when we process a payment
- it is in our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your data protection interests and fundamental rights and freedoms do not override those interests, such as when we secure the Services, engage in fraud prevention, and direct marketing
- we need to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation
- we have your consent to do so. We do not generally rely on consent as a lawful basis for processing your personal data, but you have the right to withdraw consent to marketing at any time by contacting us
We keep your information for the time period required to complete the purposes for which it is processed or satisfy legal retention requirements. The length of time for which we retain information depends on the purposes for which we collected and use it or the requirements of applicable laws.
10. Withdrawing Consent
At any time, if you wish to withdraw consent to Aseel processing your information or storing them; you can permanently close your account through the settings or by emailing email@example.com. If there are any open cases such as orders, outstanding payments etc one of our team members will contact you to resolve that before we can close the account. If you have made purchases or had transactions that needs to be recorded, we may be required to retain certain information for legal, regulatory, tax, security, or compliance reasons for a limited period of time, after which it will be deleted as well. Once an account is deleted it cannot be restored. However, you can always create another account.
This policy can always be amended or updated by the Aseel legal team. Everytime the policy is updated it will have reflected in all sections of the websites and app or other places under the policies sections. We encourage you to check back regularly and review any updates.
